Prerequisites

Are you running the latest version?
Did you check for an existing issue ?
Are you reporting to the correct repository?
Did you perform a cursory search?
Did you read the CONTRIBUTING guide ?

Description

When you select dark mode your interface immediately turns dark.
If you close the app and open it again however the default theme is selected and you have to go again in the settings to restore the dark mode.
You have to do this every time you start the app.

Steps to Reproduce

Make sure your system default is not dark mode
Select dark mode in the settings
close the app
Open the app
The background is light
